Lesmahagow 2 Rutherglen Glencairn 3 (28/02/09)
Lesmahagow Manager Sandy Robertson will be very disappointed with the result as they were by far the better team on the day but lapses in defence cost them the win. in the first half The Gow were very unlucky not to have scored when Bell's turn and shot hit the cross bar and a great pass and move down the right saw Moore's shot tip over the bar, but is was not until the 28th minute that league leaders Glencairn had their first shot on goal but it was straight at keeper Wilson and after that the Gow goal lead a charmed Life with shots from McGladrigan, Boylan, Fraser and McArdle but it ended 0-0 at haft time.
The Gow up the pace in the second half and 6 minutes into the half they took the lead after Bell's cross found Scott McGeachie inside the six yard box and he headed it into the far corner of the net giving Glens keeper Wilson no chance and on the hour mark Lesmahagow Manager Roberston brought on Ross McGeachie and he was only on the field for three minutes when he pounced onto a flick on from Cunningham and he fired hard and low passed the advancing goalkeeper to score his first goal for the club this season, but the Glens got themselves back into the game when Referee Andrew Dallas (son of Hugh) awarded a penalty for some thing inside the box that nobody seen and McGladrigan step up and fire it home into the top left hand corner and it was game on, with 6 minutes remaining the Glens were awarded another penalty yes that's right another penalty this time against the Gow Goalkeeper Wilson who was adjudged to have brought down McArdle, he claimed he got a hand to the ball first but referee Dallas was having none of it and again up stepped McGladrigan, and this time he put in into the bottom right hand corner to make two all & the Gow looked to have secured a point, but 4 minutes into injury time up popped Boylan to score the Glens third and their winner.
If Lesmahagow can keep putting performance like the show in the first half for the whole game they will not get relegated but if they continue with sloppy defensive mistakes they will go down.

Wishaw 2 St Roch's 4 (14/02/09)
And so to our feature match today this game could have been billed the St Valentines day massacre as there was no love lost between the teams, with 4 bookings, three sending off and 6 goals, the game it's selves started off with both teams creating chances, and referee David Cockburn had very little to do that was until the 28th minute when their was a starmash in the middle of the park with both sets of players except the goalkeepers getting stuck in as the say and when it all cam down Wishaw's Trailest was booked for his part and St Roch's McGhee was sent off for his bad tackle that kick all off in the first place and after that the ref had his hands full. Wishaw took the lead 2 minutes later when a Burns free kick was fired home from 18 yards out with no one touching it to beat keeper Morrison low at his right hand post. Wishaw made it two on 53 minutes after Ralston long free kick out of defence was blocked by McGowan but the rebound was head home by Coffey from inside the six yards box, St Roch's were handed a lifeline when Docherty was brought down inside the box by Ralston and the referee Cockburn had no choice but to send off Ralston for being the last man and Docherty step up and converted the spot kick, but the referee was not finished yet as he sent Burns off for a bad tackle on Grant late in the first half.
With Wishaw down to 9 men and leading 2 goals1 they should have put the game to bed inside three minutes after the restart, when their Trailest was through one on one with the keeper, but his shot was well saved by Morrison and further goals from Grant and Fleming sealed the points for the visitors and Wishaw remain in 9th place in the league.

Blantyre Vics 2 Carluke Rovers 0 (31/01/09)
Blantyre found it tough in the first 45 mins of this game as Carluke dominated the midfield and brought out several great saves from Keeper Colquhoun and hit the post as well, but it was the home side who took the lead on 28 mins when Clancy beat Barton and he whipped ball into the box and from two yards out Masterson poked out his foot to guide it into the net with Keeper McFarlane well beat down at his right hand post, just before half time Rovers had a free kick just outside the box and this was the save of the game as Weir stepped up and managed to get his shot up and down over the wall only to see it turned round the post for a corner.
H-T 1-0
The second 45 started with Carluke on the back foot with the Vics pinning them down in their own half and it looked only a matter of time before they would score again but all credit to Carluke they rode their luck and they managed to get two great chances to draw level, the first was when Noble fire a long ball out of defence and Arnott shot from 25 yards out was tip over the bar by Colquhoun and the second was a shot on the turn from Jarvie inside the box only to see it bounce of the post and that was it for Carluke and to make matters worse their veteran defender Andy Noble was sent off for a 2 bookable offence after he had a wilded tackle on Masteron out by the touchline and with Rovers down to ten men, Blantyre made it two in 86th minute when espencer's cross beat Keeper McFarlane and substitute McClusky fire the ball into an empty net. This result keeps Blantyre top of the Table but it could have been all so different if Carluke took their chances in the first half.

Lanark United 4 Penicuik Athletic 2 (24/01/09)
4th Round Scottish Cup Replay
United continue on their Scottish Cup quest as they came from 2-goals down too go into tomorrows draw. It did not look good for a lackluster Lanark team in the first half as they were pin back in their own half as Athletic had chance after chance to open the scoring and in 15 minutes Gay tested United keeper Brown with a tremendous drive from 20 yards out, and the same player 3 minutes later blasted one over the bar when it was easier to score.
Lanark where one down on the half hour mark, when Gay's free kick was headed home from close in by Striker Cameron and minutes later it was two as the united defence were caught napping and Cameron pounced and slid the ball past the advancing goalkeeper Brown. Lanark did manage to get back into the game late in the first half, after a great cross by McGuire found Cuthill inside the 6 yard box and he beat keeper Ramage with a deft header into the bottom right corner of the net.
H-T 2-1
Lanark started the second half in the front foot and were almost rewarded with the equalizer when Keeper Ramage was called into action after Hanlon free kick from outside the box was tip round the post, but minutes later United did get their goal when McGuire shot was tip onto the bar by Ramage but the rebound was headed home by Man of the Match Hanlon, two all and everything to play for but it was Lanark who got the all important goal, with only seven minutes left Hanlon broke clear after a Franch perfect pass and he made no mistake and fire united into the lead for the first time in the game, and provider Franch score the fourth in the dying stages of the game. The euphoria of the victory was marred when Lanark's Haddow was given a straight red card for elbowing Milne on the half way line on the 91st minute.
On the second half performance Lanark should fear no one in the next round.

Carluke Rovers 1 Camelon Juniors 4 (17/01/09)
The visitors did not take long to show their class as in 8 minutes when McKenna chipped a static Rovers defence and top goal scorer Jeffery's coolly slip the ball the advancing keeper McFarlane. 11 minutes later it was two for the visitors as they forced a corner on the left and Gillespie's cross was not clear and it fell at the feet of that man Jeffery and his shot went in off the post to give goalkeeper McFarlane no chance. At this point the Carluke players were frustrated and it show when McAuley & Weir were booked for needless fouls. Rovers had a couple of chances to get back into the game just before half time as both Weir and Arnott hit the woodwork but it ended 2-nil to Camelon.
H-T 0-2
In the second half it was Camelon that started the brightest and were on the attack and McKenna's powerful strike brought out a great save from keeper McFarlane, on the 67th minute Carluke's Weir was booked for a second time and was red carded after a foul fullback Bell and the resulting free kick found Substitute Sherkin free on the right and he fire his shot high into the net to make it three. Carluke were reduced to 9 players when McAuley was book for the second time and was ordered from the field of play for bringing down McKenna just outside the box, and it was only then that Rovers started to play when Noble long hopeful ball found Arnott free on the left and his shot beat keeper Hutchison at his near post, and they almost got another one 4 minutes later when Jarvie fire a shot from 20 yards out and Hutchison managed to get a hand on it to put it over the bar. Camelon were awarded a penalty when Dick was brought down inside the box by Barton but Jeffery's hattrick was denied by a brilliant save from Keeper McFarlane. The goals were all wrapped up when 2nd Substitute Jack fire home from close range from a Donnell cross.

Wishaw 0 Greenock 1 (10/01/09)
After the ref McGuiness checked the park for the third time he gave the thumbs-up and the game started 10 minutes late but as the rain and wind hammer the players it was Wishaw that adapted too the conditions better than their visitors, and in the 16th minute Greenock's keeper Scott let the ball slip out his hands and as it was heading goal ward he managed to get a hand to it and Wishaw's Burns cut back Miller but his shot took a bubble and he fired it straight at the thankful keeper Scott's arms. Wishaw looked like taking lead after Ralston's long ball out of defence found Noble clear and as he advanced in on goal he fired a left foot drive towards the keeper's right hand side but Scott managed to get his finger tips and divert it for a corner. As all this was happening Greenock were trying to take the game to Wishaw and top scorer Gilmour brought out a great save from Brunton in the Wishaw goal and he was called into action once again when Visitors force a corner on the left and Stirling cross was met by Gilmour on the six yard line but Brunton managed to get his body in front of it and the danger was cleared by McIntyre. Wishaw had a great chance to take the lead just before half time when a great turn and shot in the box by Miller only to see it clip the bar and go out and a goal kick.
H-T 0-0
Wishaw continued where the finished off in the first half and looked the only team to score as at this point Greenock never looked like getting out of their own half never mind scoring and shots from Miller, Coffey and Burns had keeper Scott on his toes, but as the weather and light deteriorated Greenock forced another corner and this time Gunn's header was wide of Brunton's right hand post. The resulting bye kick seamed to get caught in the wind and as it was blown back into the penalty area Gilmour pounced and fire his shot hard and low into the corner of the net. As Greenock looked for the second killer goal, Wishaw almost leveled when burns found Coffey free and as he headed in on goal, full back Barrett made a last ditch tackle and the chance was lost, and that's how it finish
